There were times we explored museums, waterfalls, markets and cities, and times when family life demanded a slower pace. I have written about balancing work sprints with moving between hotels, unschooling, packing and keeping everyone rested.
Why I remember this
I stopped treating balance as one perfect schedule. I paid attention to what had been neglected and tried to make room for it. A family can be intentional about adventure without making every day an event. A leader can be committed to work without turning every season into a launch.
Where does your family or everyday life fit?
Which part of your life is asking for more attention this season: rest, relationships, work, play or something else?
You do not need to travel or live like us to put the principle into practice.
