The Sacred Space Practice Started with What Was in Front of Me

Cleaning one corner, paying attention to what felt true, and learning to make room for peace.

Adapted from Leimomi's original reflections · A lived story shared for reflection, not a promised outcome

There have been times when I was trying so hard to move something forward that I could no longer hear myself clearly. A launch was not coming together, the house felt chaotic, the family needed my attention and I wanted an answer immediately.

In one of those seasons, I stopped pushing the next big thing and returned to what was directly in front of me. I cleaned and reorganized parts of our home. I made time to meditate. I considered what was no longer feeling true, and how to make space for care, quiet and self-love.

Small choices helped me feel present again.

My earlier Shifting into Sacred Space teaching became a simple seven-day community practice. We began with a few minutes of meditation and cleaning or rearranging part of our surroundings. We paid attention to situations that were asking for an honest decision. We chose acts of self-care, nourishment, breathing and fewer distractions. At the end we reflected together on what we had noticed.

Some people practiced quietly. Others shared with the group. The point was not to perform a perfect ritual or fix everything in one week. It was to take responsibility for the physical and emotional environment in which our choices were happening.

Creating sacred space can begin with one ordinary decision made with sincerity.

Not every change needs a dramatic reinvention.

My own spiritual language includes meditation, Source, intuition and energetic practices. I understand those as part of my personal worldview. The everyday invitation is simpler: create a moment in which you can notice your needs, make one thoughtful change and choose what supports your life.

Maybe you begin with a quiet ten minutes. Maybe you tidy your desk, step outdoors, write down what feels heavy or ask someone for help. Maybe you realize that rest is the most responsible next step.

For me, this was never about waiting for life to become perfect before feeling peaceful. It was about practicing presence in the middle of the life I actually had.
