Edward and I fell in love quickly. I have told the story of agreeing to marry after a very short time together and celebrating our wedding in Hawaiʻi. It was surprising even to us, and it brought uncertainty alongside joy.
What I carried into the next chapter
I do not tell this story as a model of how quickly anyone should make a commitment. It is a story about taking responsibility for a choice that belonged to us. It changed the direction of my life, and every relationship has its own pace, questions and responsibilities.
What about your own journey?
What would it look like to make a major choice with both your heart and your own good judgment?
Your experience can be different from mine and still lead you to an important decision.
