Chapter 5 · Family as the everyday adventure

A Library Afternoon Was Worth Reorganizing My Day

The everyday experiences that changed what freedom meant to our family.

KOA-STORY-045 · Adapted from historical founder posts

I have shared the pleasure of taking Atreo to library story time and celebrating when he finished a preschool workbook. Our learning routines were not always exotic or tied to another country. They included familiar activities that any family might recognize.

Why I remember this

When I talked about the freedom to shape our schedule, these were the moments I meant. The ability to choose a family activity during a workday mattered to me more than looking busy or successful. A sustainable business has to make room for the things you claim to value.
