Before we left Maui to travel, I spent about forty-five days selling the things in our home. I have described people coming through to buy something every day, the strange mix of emotion and determination, and the moment all that remained fit into four suitcases.
The deeper business lesson
I was not simply getting rid of belongings. I was testing whether the life we said we wanted was something we would make real decisions for. The practical work was tiring. There were costs, uncertainties and relationships to reconsider. Letting go made room for a choice, but it did not remove the need for preparation.

Use the question for your own reflection; your circumstances and decisions are your own.
