What My Maui Radio Interview Taught Me About Being Heard

A founder story about teaching and shared leadership.

KOA-STORY-068 · Historical founder story adapted for public reflection

I shared my excitement after a live interview on Maui's KAKU 88.5 FM, with Edward there supporting me. I noticed how quickly radio conversations move and how important it was to speak in a way a broad audience could follow.

The leadership lesson I carried forward

That interview helped me think about taking a complex, personal worldview and finding the most accessible truthful part of it for the people listening. Visibility can build authority, but only when the message is understandable, respectful and connected to what someone really needs.

Reflection

What kind of leader are you becoming?

If a stranger heard you for just one minute, what would you want them to understand about the work you do?

Your contribution does not need to look like mine to matter.
