Chapter 6 · ʻĀina, aloha and sacred presence

When We Left Thailand for Cambodia, We Still Had Questions

A reflection on place, heritage, service and spiritual meaning.

KOA-STORY-057 · A personal reflection adapted from historical founder posts

I shared a short post saying goodbye to Phuket and preparing for Siem Reap, Cambodia. I felt that the next stop held a meaningful spiritual experience for our family, and I asked our community to send love as we moved forward.

How this shapes my idea of aloha

I remember how much of the journey was not settled in advance. We had to navigate each place as a family and allow our expectations to change. Uncertainty can be part of an adventurous life, but it is also a reminder to make responsible plans, keep communicating and stay open to help.
